Data scraping made easy: An introduction
Data scraping is a process of extracting data from sources that are not intended to be directly accessed or used. The most common use for data scraping is to extract contact information from websites. Data scraping can be done manually, but it is more commonly done using software that automates the process.
There are many reasons why you might want to scrape data. Maybe you want to create a database of potential customers or suppliers.
Maybe you want to monitor your competition or track changes on a website over time.
Make sure that the data you want to scrape is actually public and accessible. If it’s behind a login screen or isn’t easily downloadable, you might have trouble getting at it 🤫.

- Here's How You Can Start Scraping Data
Multiple solutions :
BrowserFlow (Chrome extension)
DataMiner (Chrome extension)
Webscraper (Chrome extension)
Currently, BrowserFlow is my favorite, it’s really effective and easy to use once you do the tutorial.
You can set up some flows to mimic mouse & keyboard movements and gather data on any page.
An example of scraping with BrowserFlow.
I also use PhantomBuster, you can use it for free at the beginning and it’s really effective for Linkedin (I recommend you to follow the tutorials)
You can also use it for Google Maps (scrape the data of the different shops, addresses, contacts, and so on… )
Check their website, they got some good educational content.
The benefits of data scraping
Data scraping has several benefits, including the ability to gather large amounts of data quickly and efficiently. Additionally, data scraping can be used to automate repetitive tasks, such as gathering data from multiple sources.
Data scraping can also be used to extract specific data points from web pages or other sources that would be difficult or impossible to collect manually.
Finally, data scraping can be a valuable tool for research and analysis, allowing users to quickly and easily collect and analyze large amounts of data.
Hope you enjoyed it!
Tell me in the comments if you need a specific tutorial, I would like to create some videos with scrapers to teach you how to use it.
Have a nice week !
